Look out for wildlife this winter
Wind, snow and floods disrupt our lives every winter. Wind
brings down trees blocking our roads and damaging buildings, water in
our homes has forced us out and snow just brings our every day lives to
a freezing halt. Wildlife has to cope with these ever changing weather
conditions too and so the North Wales Wildlife Trust is urging you to

BBC local websites proposal
The BBC's proposals to launch a £68m network of local news websites with video content have been rejected by the BBC Trust following vociferous opposition from newspaper publishers. This is despite the inclusion of proposals aimed at collaboration with the regional press.
The BBC's plan would have seen the launch of 65 local video services – across 60 areas of the UK with five Welsh-language services – covering news, sport and weather with 400 staff and a total budget of £68m up to 2013. Each of the local websites would have had the equivalent of around £350,000 a year in funding enabling sourcing of local news video from external providers and making their own content available for embedding on other sites. Rhos Choir CD tribute to wife
A Wrexham photographer has released his fourth CD featuring songs by
the Rhos Male Voice Choir, in memory of his late wife, Beatrice.David Griffiths, 84, of Southsea, has already raised more than £9,000 for the Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham with previous CDs featuring the choir, and with his latest release he is confident sales from his latest recording will top the £10,000 mark. Father Christmas Coming to Wrexham!
Father Christmas is coming to Wrexham town centre aboard his 'Smiley Train' on December 4th. He will make his way through the centre of Wrexham arriving at Queen's Square just after 6pm. Rides will also be available on the Smiley Train, courtesy of Wrexham Council, from the front of the Guildhall between 2pm and 5pm and 6.30pm and 8pm. All proceeds go to Nightingale House Hospice.
